THIS is Legit Motherhood is all about real and raw motherhood. This podcast will open up the world of motherhood to those who are soon to be moms, new moms, and even seasoned moms to all the things that make motherhood hard and chaotic, but also the freakin’ awesome and beautiful parts of it too. I wanted to start this podcast because I wanted to create a place for moms to remember who they are, what they are doing and capable of, and know that they are absolutely not alone in this journey. Join me as I interview other moms in all different mom situations that you will surely find relatable. I also share some of my motherhood stories and experiences with you because surely I'm not the only one who's had a screaming kid in the grocery store or ordered pizza again because it was a long busy day with the kids.     Did you know that 1 in 4 women have a miscarriage?   It’s a heartbreaking thing that happens more often than we think. Although it is starting to be talked about more, it is still not talked about enough and that’s why Stephanie feels like she needs to continue to open up about her experience with miscarriage.   In this very vulnerable episode, Stephanie shares her story about her two miscarriages. She shares what her body went through and also how hard it really was. But she talks about how her strength came from sharing her story more. Stephanie believes that miscarriage needs to be talked about for the mental health of the mom. She breaks down everytime she hears about someone who has a miscarriage because it takes her back to her experience and she hates that anyone else has to feel and go through that. I appreciate Stephanie’s bravery and strength.     I had some time recently to read about my younger mom years.   I have always liked to journal, but since being married and especially after having kids, I just didn’t do it as much. But the little I did write, I am grateful I did!   I was reminded of some things that were really important to me when it came to be a home. Honestly, some things I had forgot. And I thought..I can still change and be a better mom, but I am also doing better than I thought.   In this episode, I just wanted to remind you that you are doing a great job. That you are important and what you do it important too. I think it’s important that we aren’t so hard on ourselves as a mom and as a person. Being negative in our heads can come out sometimes. We are just too dang hard on ourselves.   So in the season of love, I want you to remember to love yourself. As a mom and as an individual person.   I would love for you to write for yourself on a paper that you feel really confident in as a mom TODAY. I am feeling hopeful that good things are coming. In this episode, I share with you some of the things I want to improve on this year and tell you about why I am hopeful this year.
