Megan Hottman was a late bloomer, athletically. She found cycling in law school and it became her passion; so much so that she spent time as a professional cyclist and then started her own law practice representing injured cyclists. Megan was fueled by her passion, until the exposure to crash scenes, injuries, and death took its toll psychologically. We talk with Megan about secondary trauma and how many professionals like journalists, attorneys, and first responders experience it in their line of work, yet receive little training on how to deal with witnessing that trauma. As Driven individuals, we can relate to Megan's feelings of angst and appreciate that discomfort as a signal: it's time to grow.
