In the Studio with Sargent Wallbaum
Christmas came early for 15 lucky boys and girls at the Canby Fred Meyer this weekend, as they and their families joined Canby Police Department officers for a beloved annual tradition, Shop With a Cop.
The annual outreach by the Clackamas County Peace Officers Benevolent Foundation gives each kid a $200 gift certificate to purchase gifts and toys for themselves and family members.
Generous donors and coupons from Fred Meyer help each kid stretch their gift cards as far as possible, as Canby Police Sergeant Nate Wallbaum, who coordinates the annual event, explains. -

A great asset to our little town!

It’s about Canby ...
Please add LGBTQ+ coverage. The school board is making decisions about sex ed that excludes and ignores trans and non-binary people. Extreme right-wingers harass liberal activists at their homes. LGBTQ+ people have almost no representation or spaces that are accepting of them.
Show Canby that their community includes LGBTQ+ people. They deserve to be seen. Your show has the power to do that.
