I recently wrote two essays for my substack olurinatti surrounding abolition, Tory Lanez, and Meg thee stallion. The first essay focuses more on the case, why Black women were relieved Tory was convicted and how things might’ve been in an abolitionist world. The second essay illustrates how our failure to protect Black women is an impediment to that world by telling the story of how I was treated when I was attacked by a man. The premise that Black women must be protected to achieve abolition was apparently controversial for some men so let’s talk about it.
