Martha was Bob Hope's first female staff writer, writing for his television specials, personal appearances, and military shows for approximately fifteen years. She has written a book called Dear Bob: Bob Hope's Wartime Correspondence with the G.I.s of World War II. She also talks about the relationship between Bob and Ernie Pyle.
