I adore this podcast. I’m a classic literature fan and it’s so great to hear two brilliant academics have some good natured fun with these stories, while still teaching, encouraging critical thinking, and being really interesting new perspectives to these works. Daniel’s accents are icing on the cake too.

I’ve been looking for a show like this for so long. I found the pod through Kate Lister’s Betwixt the Sheets and just a few episodes in and I’m sold. It’s really smart people talking about really old books and making them approachable. If I had a complaint, Daniel occasionally talks a little too low to understand. Still, absolutely love it. Edit: I’ve listened to more episodes since my original review and they either got better mics or Dr. Daniel is articulating more. Still, five stars.
