Episode 64 -- Crystal Fambrini

Where Ya At? SDSU's Journalism and Media Studies podcast

Crystal Fambrini was named "Outstanding Graduating Student" at San Diego State University and has created a prolific career as an award-winning broadcaster, executive producer, model, writer, podcaster, entrepreneur and real estate investor and agent.

She enjoys working on multiple goals at once. Crystal's abundance of energy is evident as we review her career. She explains how she landed an internship and job at the prestigious ABC World News Tonight with Peter Jennings, beating out more than 7500 applications to become an on-air talent and producer on Al Gore's Emmy-awarding winning Current TV channel, producing the first meditation in Virtual Reality with His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, and how a real estate presentation to her parents paid for her college degree.

Hear straight from Crystal as she gives practical advice on being the same person on and off camera, how to "own the room" and not take no for THE answer, and how to effectively time manage and organize projects.

"Where Ya At?" is a podcast focused on the School of Journalism and Media Studies at San Diego State University. Each week, during the Fall and Spring semesters, host Josh Suchon (Class of 1996) interviews alumni to learn about their experiences as college students, entering the workforce, key steps in their professional development, advice they'd give to current students, and details about how they covered a specific story.
