Episode 7, BLIS Community

MOMs Running Point Podcast

As Sports MOMs we share a common athletic interest which makes us a community by default.    Today Shantel Canty and I discuss the differences in our experiences on the sidelines of these communities and ways to improve the atmosphere.  Listen in as Shantel, a beginner sports mom, shares stories that really helped her feel a sense of community on her kids teams, and is honest with her desire to learn and grow in sports.

As a seasoned sports mom, I feel the responsibility to help other moms enjoy their experience on the sidelines, regardless of my competitiveness, stress levels or passionate focus on the outcome.  I know sports seasons are brief and you may only see that mom for 2 months out of the year, but it's more than just your experience, your child sees and learns community through you.  Check out my BLIS Acronym of what community should be and how I achieve it.

Don't miss this opportunity to increase your awareness of what others Sports MOMs experience on the sidelines and be part of the positivity all teams need.
