    Episode 73: (Home Theater Xperience - HTX) Awesome New Home Theater Upgrades!

    In this episode of The Fun Waste of Time, the fellas return to discuss their experiences building, upgrading and applying finishing touches to their dedicated home theaters.  Anthony shares his thoughts on being new to the home theater community having only recently completed his theater.  Brad, Home Theater Gamer, makes a special appearance to discuss his recent theater upgrades.  And Tarrus shares his experience completing another major and "hopefully" final upgrade to his home cinema.  In Movies and TV, after the release of the movie, “Deadpool and Wolverine”, the fellas discuss whether Wesley Snipes should return to the role he popularized so many decades ago as the MCU’s new Blade or if Mahershala Ali should stay in the role, even though it’s been over five years since he was announced as the MCU's Blade and there’s been no real movement on the project since that time. In Video Games, the discussion centers around the PS5 Pro launch and who's excited about the prospect of a more graphically powerful PlayStation 5.  Did any of the fellas buy into the hype and purchase a PS5 Pro?  Listen in to find out!     Episode 72: (Home Theater Xperience - HTX) Introducing The Newest Member of The Home Theater Community...!!

    In this episode of The Fun Waste of Time, after FIVE years (!!!) of Tarrus talking “home theater” on the show, fellow castmate, Anthony, FINALLY decided to take his advice and build his first dedicated home theater.  Listen in as the fellas talk about the plan for the theater in the returning “Home Theater Xperience (HTX)” segment of the show.    In Movies and TV, the fellas discuss the leaked behind-the-scenes photos coming from the set of James Gunn’s new Superman movie and whether or not they like what they’re seeing.  With another director dropping from the project, the fellas also discuss the trouble Marvel seems to be having with getting their Blade movie starring Mahershala Ali off the ground.  In Video Games, the discussion centers around all the fantastic new game announcements, first-look gameplay trailers and updates on previously announced games made this summer at the various Summer Game Showcases.   And of course all the movies, TV shows and video games, the fellas have been watching and playing are discussed as well.     In this episode of The Fun Waste Time, the fellas discuss whether platform-exclusive video games are soon going away.  With PlayStation seemingly more open to releasing first-party exclusive games on PC and Xbox on the verge of becoming a third-party publisher now that they own Bethesda and Activision-Blizzard, are we nearing a future where platform-exclusive video games may become a thing of the past? In movies and TV, the fellas discuss whether high-production fan films of pop-culture characters and properties have the potential to influence major film and TV studios to keep the “Hollywood” versions of these properties authentic to their source material.     In this episode of The Fun Waste of Time, with shows like “The Last of Us” and more recently “Fallout”, the fellas discuss whether video game-adapted movies and TV shows have turned the page and are finally starting to get consistently good to great. They also try to answer what’s responsible for this shift in quality. In addition, they discuss fan-favorite IP and content they wish movie and TV studios, as well as, streaming platforms would leave alone because they just can’t seem to get it right.  And of course, all the movies, TV shows and video games the fellas have been watching and playing are also discussed.     In this episode of The Fun Waste of Time, the fellas return after a short hiatus to discuss the 2024 Summer Blockbuster movie season.  Listen in as the fellas breakdown which movies they’re planning to see at the commercial theater, streamed at home or not at all.  The fellas also discuss Will Smith’s return to the big screen with “Bad Boys (4) Ride or Die”.  After a long break from the spotlight due to the infamous 2022 “Academy Awards” incident with comedian Chris Rock, are the fellas and audiences ready to move on from “the incident” and embrace Will Smith once again?  In addition all the movies, TV shows and video games the fellas have been watching and playing are discussed as well.  There’s all this and so much more in episode 69 of “The Fun Waste of Time”!
