Bill will be the first to tell you he is nothing special, but he’s been able to overcome an abusive childhood, post-traumatic stress (PTSD), mental health challenges, and unexpected crises to finish an Ironman, earn a black belt in Krav Maga, and run the Boston Marathon five times—including one on crutches. He’s a
regular guy who is now thriving at the top of his profession, too. Through his debut release, Thriving in the Storm, he seeks to explain how anyone can achieve similar success.
Bill and I get deep on healing from trauma, doing the hard work, helping others, and finding a way to make it out.
You’ll Learn:
- How to become confident in yourself
- What to do when you do the healing
- How do I become a better with understanding my emotions
- How to show empathy
- How to give yourself some grace
“that's kind of taboo from men what do you mean love . Yourself? What do you mean self-compassion? Growing up, you're soft.
If you have compassion for yourself men don't cry. That dynamic has to change. Did you know there's a stat that men are more likely to die of suicide. They're four times more likely than women.
And why is. Because they don't talk about it they keep it down. they keep all those memories, all those horrific tragedies, traumatic things that happen in their life. They keep it down inside, suppress it, until one day they burst the wrong way, and they don't talk to anybody because that wasn't okay" - Bill Murphy
