    Episode 1: How is God at work in London and beyond?

    Bonus Episode: The power of forgiveness

    In light of recent tragic deaths of young people on the streets of London, Jason Roach speaks with LCM missionary Jason O’Shea who trains churches to go into schools and tell the story of Zac, who at the age of 15 was stabbed to death by a group of boys he didn’t know. Children hear from Zac’s mother Sarah and his sister Tayo, about the ripple effects of Zac’s murder, and how, through their Christian faith, they were able to forgive the boys who took his life.   “The importance of forgiveness is that it will change the trajectory of your life.”   Jason shares how through Operation Forgiveness, young people can be equipped with the power of forgiveness, and the opportunity it presents for Christians and churches to build connections with their local schools.   Listeners are advised that in this episode, you’ll hear the story of Zac’s murder told by his mother Sarah and sister Tayo.

    “God began to work in my heart and in the community in a way that I wasn't expecting”    Join us for episode 4 as we explore how we can inspire our churches for local mission, unpacking biblical examples and stories from churches in London today.     We’re joined by Alex Brito, pastor of Mosaic Church in South London and Wien Fung, a Mission Mobilisation Manager at London City Mission.     “God has called us to be counter-cultural. If we only have multicultural churches, we are just mirroring society – that’s not what God has called us to do. We need to rise above multicultural Britain and develop intercultural and inclusive churches…” As we seek to share the good news of Jesus in our diverse urban communities, our churches must become places of welcome and belonging for people of all backgrounds and cultures. Jason Roach speaks with Rev Dr Israel Olofinjana, Director of the One People Commission at the Evangelical Alliance, about the importance for churches to move towards being ‘intercultural’. Speaking directly to church leaders, and those in positions of leadership in our churches, this bonus episode explores the need for churches to move beyond simply being ‘multicultural’. We’ll hear practical advice and inspiring stories about how church can instead become places where connections are made across the barriers and boundaries of cultures and ethnicities.
