Episode 9 - Liver Cancer

All In Against Cancer

Liver cancer is one of the most common types of cancer worldwide and represents the third most common cause of cancer-related death globally. About 75% of liver cancers arise from the liver cells – and these cancers are called hepatocellular carcinoma, or HCC.  The majority of the remaining liver cancers arise from the bile ducts that traverse the liver- and these cancers are referred to biliary tract cancers, or cholangiocarcinoma.

In this episode of the All In Against Cancer podcast powered by the Ochsner Cancer Institute, host Dr. Jonathan Mizrahi talks with Ochsner medical oncologist, Dr. Lingling Du, and Ochsner interventional radiologist, Dr. Tyler Sandow, about liver cancer.

Tune in to hear more about the approach to diagnosis, staging, treatment, prevention, and screening for liver cancer.
