Equipping Parents To Empower Their Learners With Emily CEO of Teacher Tutor Mom

The Homeschool Advantage Podcast

Intro

Emily CEO of Teacher Tutor Mom, her goal is to equip parents to empower their learners. This includes providing resources for parents to access or print out, suggestions for helpful physical and online resources like where to find good prices on used books, go-to websites for purchasing curriculum, supplies that she find helpful in my homeschooling. She also enjoys researching and sharing what she has learned. She plans to develop articles addressing with ways to help struggling readers – both resources and methods. Trained as a reading specialist as well as  Orton Gillingham Emily uses these to equip parents with strategies.

Top three takeaways

  1. parents who choose to homeschool recognizing the amount of time they can let their kids spend exploring these interests.
  2. Homeschooling parents want to tailor their children’s education to their unique gifts and strengths and be able to support them in their weaknesses.
  3. Homeschooling isn’t a one-size-fits all approach. Each child, each family is different. You are not limited to or tied to the curriculum you pick to help you teach your kids. You are the teacher.
