"Instead of Saying I Need To, I Have To, Say I Want To, I Choose To" - Nik Frey, Porn Addict and Breatheworker

Niklaus Frey worked as an HR Business Partner for the Trading Floor of an Investment Bank while secretly suffering from a porn addiction for 15 years. The addiction robbed him of the will to take care of his health and made him mentally and physically ill culminating in a herniated spinal disc that needed surgery as it paralysed his leg. He no longer had any motivation or purpose in life. Finding himself frustrated, angry, lonely, lost, he felt powerless and at the mercy of his addiction. Masturbating even though he didn't want to anymore. And then he discovered breathe work. A practice that in his first session he felt his heart and intuition open and expand again for the first time since his childhood and the circumstances in his life started to flow and fall into place again. Niks' vulnerability, courage, and authenticity are felt throughout this interview and it was truly such a delight and pleasure to speak with him. During our conversation, we spoke about addiction’s root causes being disconnection, how to spot addiction in our lives, how porn affects our sex lives and the benefits of not ejaculating.  This podcast is truly fascinating and filled with both nervous and genuine laughter as we speak on the tabooed subject of sex and masturbation.  You’ll be listening right through to the end - I am sure! "You're Your Own Guru" with Rebecca Pflaum, Kundalini Yoga Teacher

In this week's podcast, I sat down with the very charming, energetic, and joyous Rebecca Pflaum, a well-known kundalini teacher who discovered the practice when she encountered crippling pain in her back, hips, and neck. Kundalini yoga was the transformational and sacred gift she received to recover and reclaim her body, mind, and spirit. Rebecca’s lightness of being is contagious and during our conversation, we speak about how kundalini yoga as a practice taught her self empowerment and responsibility. That not everything needs to make sense and making sense of things is often overrated, what the chakras actually are and how we are our own guru and we don’t need anything done to us because we have everything we need! *DISCLAIMER* A little disclaimer regarding this week's podcast. It was recorded in Ubud, Bali, and I caught on to a little ruffling noise. But this podcast was too good not to post for the sake of perfectionism,  so the podcast isn’t perfect, but it’s well worth the listen. "Fear: What Are You Trying To Tell Me That I Care About?" with Alexia Usgaard, Female Leadership Coach

This week's podcast I sat down with the extremely raw, real, and incredibly open-hearted Alexia Usgaard, the founder of the FEARCE movement, whose life changed dramatically when her alcoholic father passed away in 2014. After quitting her job, she took a flight out to Bali and began a long and meaningful journey with grief. Alexia’s story is inspirational and a testament that simply putting one foot in front of the other is more than enough in devastating moments in one's life. And that when we listen, truly listen to what our feelings are trying to convey to us, we will be met with wisdom and eventually feel joy again. During our conversation, Alexia speaks about the impact that growing up with an alcoholic father had on her life, how through meeting grief, she learned that fear is just an emotion to alert us to what we really care about, and how we get busy to prevent ourselves from hearing and feeling ourselves. Alexia’s presence in my life has been profoundly moving, she really does have a heart the size of Earth and is a real giver. You will feel that during the podcast and it's possible you may be moved to tears as I was whilst recording this. *DISCLAIMER* This week's podcast was recorded in Ubud, Bali, so for any of you who has visited Bali, you probably know that random sounds are inevitable.  so there will be odd sounds now and then, please forgive me, Alexia Usgaard details FEARCE Movement: https://alexiausgaard.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/alexia_usgaard/ Your host, Anna Maria Bosky Website: www.my6uru.com  Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/anna-maria-bosky-05115223/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/my6uru/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/annadreammaria/

"What You Eat Effects Your Thoughts, and Your Thoughts Effect Your Actions, Words and Reality" with Sayuri Tanaka, Raw, Vegan and Macrobiotic Chef

This week's podcast I sat down with a very humble, lighthearted, and joyful raw, vegan & macrobiotic chef and teacher Sayuri Tanaka. Her previous life in the conventional food industry left her unsatisfied and questioning how can we live a healthy, balanced life? This took her on a journey through India which led her to meet fruitarians and breatharians that inspired her life's work of physical and spiritual transformation through the food choices we make. During our conversation, Sayuri speaks about how meeting fruitarians and breatharians changed her life, how important it is to cultivate a nurturing relationship and understanding towards food as it restores and heals our relationship to ourselves, and the nutritional benefits of eating raw food. Sayuri’s restaurant in Ubud Bali is always full to the brim with people arriving in the mornings and not leaving until closing. Her gluten-free, dairy-free, everything free food and desserts are by far the best in the world, at least in my personal opinion! *DISCLAIMER* A little disclaimer regarding this week's podcast. "You Are What You Are Looking For" with Shiv Charan Singh, Founder of Karam Kriya and Kundalini Yoga Teacher and Trainer of Teachers

This week's podcast I sat down with Shiv Charan Singh, a Kundalini Yoga Teacher, and trainer of teachers, Founder of Karam Kriya, and wise teacher, whose life living on the streets of Amsterdam had him question the point of life. This led him to spend 90 days not eating to consciously make his way towards death so that he could process the entire experience. After encountering a number of near-death incidents, he acquired intimate knowledge of the process of living and dying that we all seek to understand which then led him towards a path of Kundalini Yoga. During our conversation, Shiv Charan speaks about the little free will we actually have and the illusion of control that we feed, why depression is the longing of the soul and truly a gift of transformation, why we don’t need purpose, and how there’s a lot of power in saying no.   Every word Shiv Charan shares during this podcast is truly profound and sacred.  Each line uttered really has the power to shatter one’s own illusions of what “ life is about” which is what made this podcast impossible to cut down to a one-hour episode! So it’s a 2-hour special, and totally worth listening to right through to the end. *DISCLAIMER* There will be odd sounds now and then, please forgive me and my poor placement of the microphone on Shiv's body!  Shiv Charan Singh details: Ashram Website: https://ramdassguru.pt/ Karam Kriya Website: www.karamkriya.com Let the numbers guide you book: https://amzn.to/3gBAe0t Your host, Anna Maria Bosky: Website: www.my6uru.com Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/anna-maria-bosky-05115223/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/my6uru/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/annadreammaria/

"Your Body Know's How to Heal" with Aja Rose, Breathworker

This week's podcast is with the calm and serene Aja Rose, who suffered from chronic headaches from 6 to 22, leading her to drop out of University, and take 46 different drugs just to cope with the pain. She was told by countless doctors that the headaches were hereditary and she would just have to 'live with it'.  When she hit rock bottom at age 20 and was bedridden for months, she made a choice to take the power into her own hands and embarked on almost a decade of experimenting with holistic modalities. That was when she discovered breathwork and turned her medicine into a beautiful healing career.  During our conversation, Aja Rose speaks about her path with chronic headaches, how she re-wrote her story from being a victim of pain to using that pain to empower her to learn more about herself,  how our bodies have the wisdom to heal us, and how the way we breathe tells us everything we need to know about our state of mind.  Aja's life is an example of how the pain we feel can actually be the gateway towards discovering our life's purpose and be a gift in disguise. She is the founder of Inner Light Revival, and Aja Rose Breathwork, a platform dedicated to supporting people who suffer from Chronic Headaches.  *DISCLAIMER* This podcast was one of our earlier recordings in Ubud, Bali, so for any of you who has visited Bali, you probably know that random sounds are inevitable.  so there will be odd sounds now and then, please forgive me!so sit back, relax and enjoy the podcast! "There's Power in Your Story, You Can Use It for Gold, Rather Than Carrying Around Lead Your Whole Life" with Aren Bahia, Entrepreneur and Ex-Gangster

During this week's podcast I sat down with Aren Bahia,  an incredibly really generous and kind human being, whose previous life as an ex-gangster, and drug abuser entangled in organised crime in Vancouver, Canada left him incredibly unfulfilled and hungry for a big life change.  After years of a fast life filled with drugs, money and beautiful women,  he booked a flight to Bali and made a decision to radically transform his life and grow.  And wow how his life transformed for the better. Aren Bahia is now an entrepreneur and philanthropist. The founder of Karma House, Conscious Art's Tattoos and founding partner of YogiLab and Lotus Clan Properties. His story is really inspirational and is a true example that real change is ignited by a conscious decision but really comes to life through personal devotion. During our conversation, Aren speaks about the detrimental effects and pressure that life puts on us to “be somebody”, why giving back really is the path to worthwhile living, and the real power of taking responsibility for our own lives.  *DISCLAIMER* This podcast was recorded in Ubud, Bali. During this week's podcast I spoke with Cole Chance, a globally well-known yoga teacher, founder of an online yoga platform OmYogaTribe and Emerge Recovery, a programme to support recovery from addiction.  She is an ex-alcoholic and drug abuser who was in and out of rehabs, detox centres, hospitals, and 12 step programme rooms, throughout her 20’s until she overdosed at 29 and finally decided to turn a page in her life. During our conversation Cole opens up deeply about her path with addiction, the moment she decided that she could be high or she could be happy, and the importance of taking responsibility for her own life and she does so with such grace, and lightness of being, its hard to believe she’s lived through what she’s lived through.
