After twelve years of church planting ministry in Utah, nothing looks anything like we had planned. We've gone from mobile church, navigated a church merger, became a multi-site ministry, and then stepped away from it to pursue disciple-making as a network of house churches. And if I could do it all over again, I would do almost everything differently. My hope is that I can save you some of the missteps, the frustration, and the heartache that I’ve gone through, as well as your time, energy, and money as you labor or prepare to labor to advance the Kingdom in your city.

Honest & Helpful

Logan’s personal unpacking of his experience as a church planter is more than a post-op debrief. It’s a verbal textbook on how to gain wisdom from one’s experience. I appreciate the way Logan leverages his conversations with others to create a healthy sounding board for how things can be improved and understood for the betterment of the local church, church planters, and ultimately, to give God glory.

It’s helping me to think about church planting in a new way.

Like Pastor Logan, I have a strong desire to move to Utah in a few years in an effort, by God’s grace, to see Utah come to know the one true God. I have taken many trips to Utah in the past few years and on several of those trips have partnered with Pastor Logan. This podcast is helping me to process how I want to begin ministry in Utah whenever I get there. A lot of these questions such as, what is church, are questions that I have just assumed based on my experience and not taken time to discover for myself. So I am appreciative that Pastor Logan is sharing about his failures, as I hope to learn from them and God willing use what I learn to plant churches in Utah myself. This is definitely a podcast all Christian’s who desire to church plant should listen to and learn from. This podcast is an honest portrayal of the up and downs and I am looking forward to being an avid listener for the million more episodes to come.

Love you brother and praying for your ministry in Provo.
