Before the Next Chapter: Lessons, Legacy, and What’s Coming Next

Before you run into your next chapter, stop for a second. Season 1 of Exit to Next It™ was about more than leaving what no longer fits—it was about reclaiming yourself before chasing the next big thing. We started this journey not from ambition, but from a breaking point.Because the truth is: most pivots don’t start with perfect clarity. They start with exhaustion. With a whisper. With a 3:13 AM wake-up call saying, “Something has to change.” If you’ve ever been there—holding it together on the outside while silently asking, “Is this really it?”—this season was for you. The Lessons That Changed Everything Season 1 wasn’t just stories—it was strategy for women who are done shrinking and ready to move in clarity. Here are the three truths that rose to the top: 1. Your Body Keeps the Score Anxiety isn’t weakness. Fatigue isn’t laziness. They’re signals. And if you ignore the whispers, your body will send sirens. That knot in your stomach? That Sunday-night dread? It’s wisdom. Honor it. 2. Loyalty Without Boundaries is Self-Abandonment You can be loyal without losing yourself. One of the most quoted lines this season was:“Don’t confuse ‘I believe in you’ with ‘I’ll carry you.’”Some of us are breaking under weight that was never ours to carry. 3. Pause Is a Power Move As I told you in Episode 4:“You don’t need a breakdown to justify a break.”We’ve been conditioned to equate strength with staying. But staying in the wrong space too long? That’s not loyalty—it’s self-abandonment. Season 1 Was Sacred We walked through real stories that cracked something open: * Amber Vassell, who fired her boss on her birthday and said the words so many of us needed to hear: “So proud of you.” * Chequetta Withers, who reminded us: “Most of your frustration is you grieving your comfort zone.” These weren’t just episodes. They were reminders that bold moves birth breakthroughs. What’s Coming in Season 2 September 2025.The theme? From Vision to Reality: Building What’s Next Without Breaking You. Here’s what’s ahead:✔ Scaling with soul—not stress✔ Money moves that create margin—not madness✔ AI and automation as allies—not distractions✔ Building systems and support so you don’t collapse under the weight of your own success Plus, powerhouse guests—six- and seven-figure women building businesses that breathe. Ep. 6: Her Exit, Her Empire Series – Amber Vassell

What if your birthday wasn’t just a day to receive—but a day to reclaim? That’s exactly what Amber Vassell did. On her birthday, she walked into her job and fired her boss—not out of spite, but out of sovereignty. And that was just the beginning. In this week's episode of The Exit to Next It™ Podcast, I sat down with my sister in spirit, fellow Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Circle alum, and radiant force of nature, Amber Vassell. Her story? It cracked me open—and I promise it will do the same for you. Amber is the founder of The Mamapreneur Life, a brand built to help moms stop burning out and start building legacies. She's also the creator of The NICU Navigator, a life-giving resource birthed from her own experience as a two-time NICU mom. Through these offerings, Amber isn’t just running businesses—she’s running toward healing, hope, and generational impact. 🔥 In this episode, we talk about: * The real story behind the birthday exit and how to prepare for your own * Why “watch what you say” isn’t just good advice—it’s a spiritual assignment * What it looks like to be a mother, a mogul, and still hold onto your softness * The power of accountability, community, and building slow but sacred * Why every exit should be anchored in gratitude—not bitterness Amber reminds us that legacy doesn’t start when the empire is done—it starts the moment we stop doubting the dream. 💡 My biggest takeaways: * Your next chapter requires your full identity, not just your skillset. * You don’t have to hate where you are to move forward. Gratitude is momentum. * The messy middle is not a failure. It’s evidence that you’re moving. * Don’t just leave—launch. Exit with intention, build with alignment, and protect your peace at every stage. 📝 Listener Action Item: Pause and reflect:What are you speaking over your life right now—especially when no one’s listening? Take 5 minutes today and write down: * One thing you’ve been saying that doesn’t serve your future. * One truth you need to start saying instead. Then say it out loud. Daily. Until you believe it. Words build worlds. Start building yours on purpose. 🎧 Listen now: Her Exit, Her Empire with Amber Vassell 👉 Click to listen on Spotify / Apple 📌 Links mentioned: * Take the Exit Readiness Quiz – Find your starting point and get your next bold move * Follow Amber: @themamapreneurlife * Email: themamapreneurlife@gmail.com * Challenge: Watch What You Say (Coming Soon) 🌍 Shoutout to our listeners in: Brazil 🇧🇷 | France 🇫🇷 | Canada 🇨🇦 | The Philippines 🇵🇭 | All across Africa 🌍 | and our U.S. roots: Texas, Florida, Georgia, and beyond. If this episode stirred something in you—don’t ignore it. Don’t silence it. That whisper? That tug? That’s your next chapter calling. We’re here, cheering you on. From Breakdown to Building — The Final Chapter: The Exit

Hey love, There comes a moment when staying starts to cost more than leaving. When your body says no… before your mind can catch up. When the version of you that was quiet for too long finally stands up and says: “I’m done.” This week’s episode of Exit to Next It™ is the final part of the Breakdown to Building series (Part 5) — and it’s the most personal chapter yet. 🎙️ EPISODE 5: The Exit I’m taking you behind the scenes of the real story — The Sunday scaries that hit me deep in my gut. The prayer I whispered through tears. The dream visit from my grandmother. The mid-year review that blindsided me the morning I returned. The moment I looked my manager in the eye and said: “I’m resigning.” And then…The divine setup I didn’t see coming. Because just a few days later, my husband and I were invited to lead the family insurance business. COO. Managing Partner. Stake in the company. God doesn’t waste exits. He multiplies what you release in obedience. 💡 Key Takeaways From the Episode: ✨ Your unease isn’t just anxiety. It’s divine redirection.✨ You don’t need fireworks to leave. Clarity can sound like peace.✨ God doesn’t need months to move — He just needs your yes. 📝 Mini Action Step: Write your “I’m ready to release it” prayer. Say the hard part out loud. Ask for confirmation. Then pay attention — because He answers quickly when you’re willing to listen. 🎧 Listen Now:👉 Apple Podcast | Spotify If this episode resonates, forward it to a friend who’s quietly standing at her own edge. Episode 3: The Unraveling

🎙️ Episode 3: The Unraveling: When Helping Hurts There’s a moment in leadership, motherhood, and friendship that nobody prepares you for —when you realize you’ve been fighting harder for someone’s growth than they’ve fought for themselves. In this episode, I open up about the season I tried to lead someone through transformation while silently grieving the loss of my grandmother and two aunts — all within months of each other. I share what it looked like to carry someone’s development plan, their potential, their deliverables — while no one was holding space for my pain, my purpose, or my breaking point. This is the unraveling. The moment you realize belief without boundaries leads to burnout. And love, without accountability, leads to self-abandonment. 🧠 In this episode, I cover: What happened when I inherited someone else's unfinished leadership mess Why I fought so hard for her — and what it cost me How personal grief collided with professional pressure The silent toll of over-functioning and emotional labor 3 questions to ask yourself when you feel like you’re carrying too much How to love people deeply without losing yourself in the process 💭 Journal Prompt: What are you carrying that wasn’t yours to pick up? What would it look like to return it — gently, but firmly? 🧡 For the woman who gives it all: This episode is for the leader, the nurturer, the fixer — the one who shows up, holds space, keeps the peace, and carries the load when no one else can. It’s a permission slip to rest. To reassess. To release. 🔗 Resources & Links: Join The Next It Circle: Join Here Subscribe to my newsletter: Subscribe Here Follow me on Instagram: @ExitToNextIt | @LiterallyYana Share this episode with a friend who’s always the strong one. 🙏🏾 If you’re loving the show: Please subscribe, leave a review, or share it with someone who needs to hear this. The Setup That Looked Like Support

🎙️ Episode 2: The Setup That Looked Like Support Theme: Loyalty, betrayal, and the quiet unraveling that happens when you keep showing up for something that was never built to hold you. Show Description:This episode is personal.I’m sharing a moment I haven’t said out loud until now — how I found myself giving, building, and believing in a vision that wasn’t mine… and wasn’t meant to include me. The betrayal didn’t come loud.It came with smiles. Sweet words. Strategy meetings. It came disguised as support. And I kept showing up, thinking I was being seen — when really, I was being used. Today, I’m unpacking what it felt like to have my loyalty turned into leverage — and how I found my way back to me. 🧩 What You’ll Hear In This Episode: The “promotion” that felt like progress… but was really the beginning of a setup How betrayal can sound like praise and feel like partnership The moment I realized I was building someone else’s ladder while standing still Why being good at something doesn’t mean it’s yours to keep How to reclaim your power and redirect your loyalty back to yourself ✍🏾 Journal Prompt: Where have I mistaken exploitation for support? And what would it look like to redirect that loyalty toward my own vision? 🔗 Join the waitlist --The Next It Circle: If this episode hit home, you’re not alone. APR 3

Exit to Next It - The Podcast: From Breakdown to Building (Episode 1)

Sis, I've been building something behind the scenes. And today, I’m finally ready to share it with you. Introducing The Exit to Next It Podcast. Not just a show—a safe space. A blueprint. A movement for women who are tired of pouring themselves into everyone else’s dreams while their own remain buried. This launch had to be today. April 3rd. Because one year ago, on this exact day—at 3:13 AM—everything changed for me. That moment was my breakdown. My wake-up call. The moment when my body said, “Enough.” And if I’m being honest, I didn’t listen right away. I stayed. I tried to push through. But that morning marked the beginning of something I couldn’t ignore. I had a choice to make: Continue performing for a world that would never truly see me, or start building something real—something mine. This podcast is part of that building. It’s me showing up imperfectly but intentionally. It’s me using my voice to reach you, in the hopes that it might help you find yours. So, here it is. Raw, unfiltered, and straight from the heart. 📝 Episode 1 — Show Notes I’m not here to sell you a dream. I’m here to be real about the nightmare. Because the moment that changed everything for me didn’t happen in a conference room or over a polished presentation. It happened alone. In the dark. April 3rd, 2024. 3:13 AM. I woke up with my heart racing, drenched in sweat, head pounding like I’d been hit with a sledgehammer. When I looked at the blood pressure monitor and saw 162/106, I thought the machine was broken. But it wasn’t. It was my body telling me something my mind had been refusing to hear: I was breaking. And if I kept pretending I wasn’t, something far worse was going to happen. This podcast is about that moment. What led to it. What came after. And how I’m building something new—one imperfect step at a time. 🔑 Key Points Covered * The 3:13 AM Wake-Up Call * That moment when my body screamed, “You can’t keep living like this.” * Why that breakdown became the first step to building something real. * October 2023: The Build-Up to the Breakdown * Corporate betrayal, burnout, and personal loss converging all at once. * How I kept trying to show up and be everything for everyone, ignoring the fact that I was coming apart at the seams. * From Breakdown to Breakthrough * Why I didn’t walk away overnight, but instead started choosing myself—one small decision at a time. * Reclaiming my peace, my time, and my voice. Understanding that healing is a process, not a quick fix. * Why This Podcast Exists * To create a space where real stories can be told without pretense or performance. * To help women like you find your Next It—whether that’s a new career, a deeper purpose, or simply remembering who you are beyond all the titles. Your Moment of Reflection Before you move on, I need you to take a moment and check in with yourself. Not the polished version of you that knows how to say the right things. The real you. Ask yourself: * What have I been sacrificing just to survive? * What am I building for them that I should be building for myself? * Am I breaking myself just to be seen, or am I ready to start building something that’s truly mine? Write it down. Feel it. Let yourself be honest. You don’t have to have all the answers right now, but don’t pretend the questions aren’t there. 🤝 Join The Next It Circle This isn’t just a podcast. It’s the beginning of a community. I’m creating The Next It Circle—a private space where women can connect, share, and rebuild together. It’s coming soon. Real. Built just for us. Complete the form linked below to be the first to know when it launches. (Signup Link Here) 💌 Call to Action Sis, if you feel something stirring in your chest right now—don't ignore it. If you’re tired of breaking yourself to make someone else’s vision come true—it’s time to start building your own. Leave a comment. Share your story. Or just whisper to yourself: “I’m ready to choose me.” And if you’re ready to take that first step, hit play on Episode 1. With love, Yana Reynolds This is a public episode.
