I love this podcast! Hosted by two lovely women who work as pattern makers in the fashion industry in London. Every episode is so interesting, I love hearing about the details of their work and other things that pertain to technical fashion design.

I was an apparel student years ago. Never wanted to enter the field professionally, but I am always keen to learn more and continue my education.

I’ve been an independent largely self taught designer for 10 years and I cannot believe how lucky I am to have a resource like this. Without a formal degree or the ability to work in a city with a major fashion industry, I often feel very intimidated and discouraged. This podcast has really been a lovely discovery in multiple ways- first, I have almost zero friends who want to sit around and talk about making patterns 😂, so I feel like I’m hanging out with new friends who get that. Secondly, I’ve learned a lot of helpful details and starting points for further investigation, which is invaluable to me. Thirdly, while I still feel constantly worried that my skill set is hopelessly underdeveloped, I’ve actually been encouraged that may not be the case entirely, because a number of times I’ve realized it sounds like I’m actually on the right track and working in a professional studio for some very successful brands is not so entirely different from what I do in my own studio! The hosts are so kind and smart, I really like them a lot. They truly help make this extremely challenging industry feel a little less hostile and more fun. Thank you!
