    Sir Thomas Munro (1761–1827) was a distinguished British administrator and soldier who played a pivotal role in shaping British governance in India. Munro participated in key conflicts, including the Third Anglo-Mysore War, where he proved instrumental in securing British victories against Tipu Sultan.
