Episode 7: OLDYPAA Recap
This episode is a recap of my first AA retreat. Last weekend, I got way out of my comfort zone and attended an AA retreat, OLDYPAA. There are different acronyms for Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous (YPAA) depending on the location. This retreat was focused specifically for people with 10+ years of sobriety who got sober under the age of 30. All ages and lengths of sobriety were welcome; spouses, family members and sponsees were encouraged to attend. Quote of the weekend, ‘If that bat flies into my hair, I’m going to lose my shit.’
