Here's what the Kenny Brooks departure actually means for Virginia Tech athletics
Kenny Brooks left his post as the Virginia Tech women's basketball coach for the same job at Kentucky. But there are greater implications here than just a coach moving on to a program with more resources.
Let's discuss.

Virginia Tech men's basketball dropped two crucial Quad 1 opportunities last week in Cassell against Duke and on the road against Miami.
Is the Hokies season doomed? Not quite, but it's not an easy path to get to the NCAA Tournament either.

Good view
I’m an optimist, they are informed realists. Sometimes things aren’t as good as I think, sometimes things aren’t as bad as they think so it works well for me to listen. I’m a fan and I’d have a beer and wings with these guys any time.
#SonsofSatSucks
If you’re interested in a VT podcast that is realistic, transparent, and not all rah rah then this is the one for you. Mike, Ricky, and Andrew have good back and forth with 3 unique outlooks at VT Athletics (primarily football and basketball but still good insights). Plus they aren’t going to sugar coat anything for you AND are really interactive online plus in responding to mailbag questions. Great podcast for casual listening and trying to cure any Hokie Hangover you might have.
Nuanced Hokie Analysis
Mike, Ricky and Andrew are some of the best that Hokie media has to offer. In a podcast environment full of baseless homer-ism and pessimism, these guys tell it to you straight. Informed, nuanced, and sometimes pretty darn funny. Would recommend to anyone with an interest in VT Athletics. Keep up the great work gentlemen.
