    I've kept it a secret for 9 months and i'm ready to share it with the world. I'm a DAD! 

    Dr. Lance von Stade came up with the idea of interviewing me, to take a snapshot in time of what my hopes, fears, values, wishes, intentions, expectations are BEFORE having a baby. 

    This is recorded 6 days before our baby's due date. 

    My wife and I decided to not make any social media posts, we only told friends and family. Now I get to share it with all of you, if this podcast was posted, it's because we have a baby!

    We go deep into what my fears are, what fatherhood role models would I like to emulate, what are my intentions for for the birth process, who do I hope my child becomes, who do I want to be for my child. 

    This is a very conscious step into setting the intention for "Conscious Fatherhood"

    We try to work hard, we show up for others, we maintain good values and habits and yet still we feel frustrated, annoyed, fearful, or disappointed in our life.
    When things don’t go the way we planned or other people continue to let us down; it’s often because our expectations are not being met.
    So what can we do?
    First, I believe it’s important to understand the difference between INTENTIONS AND EXPECTATIONS
    And second, if we can get in the habit of SETTING CLEAR INTENTIONS we will be more in charge of our life, rather than just reacting to how life happens to us.
    To put it simply INTENTIONS are structure and direction of the energy and actions we put out into the world; and EXPECTATIONS are the thoughts, hopes and wishes that we attach to the energy we put out. Ie. what we hope happens.
    Whenever we feel disappointment, it is often because we are attached to the desired result, the expectation.
    Though the reality is we DON’T HAVE CONTROL over the actions of others, we can’t control things outside of ourselves, other people, or our surroundings.
    What WE DO HAVE CONTROL OVER is our own intention, our own actions, inactions, thoughts, and presentations to the world.
    So, what are your intentions?
    How are you starting your day?
    Can you relinquish your expectations?

    When the quality of your movement is no longer the rung of the ladder of health you are climbing, when you know how to move, eat, recuperate and your needs for safety and sustenance are met, then you can become more aware of how you talk to yourself, how present you are, and the feelings you experience on a daily basis.

    The Advocacy Process for Understanding the Connection Your Emotional and Physical Body­­:

    Most people tend to put others before themselves; so how can we advocate for others.

    1. What is on your mind right now (physical body)?

    2. How is that starting point related to areas above or below that?

    3. Have you noticed how your body changes shape in different emotional states? (sad, boastful, fear, etc)

    4. Do you notice that when you are in different emotional states that these physical ailments are different?

    5. Are the loads of stress in your life contributing to the life you want to live?

    6. Notice are the loads of stress in your life matched by the quantity and quality of your recuperative strategies.

    If not, you will suffer symptoms.

Creating Space

After listening to the first three episodes of this podcast. I took a few of the lessons as well as a few things it made me think about from my own life experiences. Which allowed me to create a space in a Biz networking meeting in which a newer member of the group who is very shy and timid felt vulnerable yet strong enough to voice her opinion about the group. In return the entire group benefited and we all grew. So to you Dr. Jordan I thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your story with the world your helping others already. Love and appreciate you

Dr. Jordan’s podcast has honestly been the most relevant show I’ve listened to. He takes life experience, chiropractic, and learned knowledge and packages it in such an empowering and authentic way that you can apply to your day to day instantly. There has not been one episode that hasn’t been applicable to my life.
