Weekly Wrap-Up: Know Your Worth, Strong-Willed Children & Men Approaching Young Girls

Weekly Wrap-Up: Know Your Worth, Strong-Willed Children & Men Approaching Young Girls

    We are TIRED this week!

Pardon the exhausted voices on this one. Nilah's going through a phase where the bedtime routine is taking about two hours every night. She's tap dancing all over our nerves, so we're working on being more patient:-)

    Also this week:

    - Chris trusted his instincts and left a major project.

    - Natalie was a little overwhelmed during a school trip and is feeling more signs that she wants to pursue another career.

    - VERY SERIOUS: Eliana was approached by a strange man who's apparently been hanging around schools trying to talk to kids. We're proud of the way she handled herself. For our listeners in Mannheim, we've shared links below to contact the Polizei.

Lastly, we talked briefly about the Roe vs. Wade decision being overturned by the Supreme Court in the US. It's a major step back for women's abortion rights, while furthering a white supremacist agenda. Just do a little research and you'll be shocked at the connections.

    - Jane Elliot explains the connection between abortion rights & racism: https://youtu.be/WD0kIFp_zzI

    - Remarks by GOP Rep. Mary Miller at "Save America" rally: https://www.businessinsider.com/mary-miller-trump-roe-v-wade-abortion-white-life-2022-6

Weekly Wrap-Up - 19 June 2022: Introverts vs The World

Weekly Wrap-Up - 19 June 2022: Introverts vs The World

Happy Juneteenth & Happy Father's Day for our listeners in the US!

A lot of things happened this week, but we chose to touch on the most important topic which was Eliana struggling with her introverted nature, and Chris helping her understand it. It's a deep subject for him since he dealt with extreme anxiety and depression during his adolescent and early adult years. The extroverted nature of the world can make an introvert feel like an outcast, so it's important to learn how to navigate that properly. This difference drove a wedge between us this week because Natalie is naturally a more outgoing person and couldn't fully understand why Eliana acts and feels the way she does.

Lastly, we briefly mentioned the current stock and crypto market turmoil, and our decision to buy and hold rather than panic. Opportunity is abundant, and this is likely only the beginning. Again, we are not financial advisers and encourage everyone to do their own research on this subject.

    We’re Back!

    We’re Back!

Okay, so it’s been almost two years, but we’re finally back! In this episode we briefly discuss what happened during our absence, and our plans for the podcast moving forward. There’s actually a lot to cover, but we wanted to keep this one short and to the point. We appreciate everyone, and are always open to questions if you’d like to know more about anything we discuss.

    Revolution, COVID-19 & Entrepreneurship

    Revolution, COVID-19 & Entrepreneurship

(Part 1 of 2) In this episode we dive right into the current situation in the US following the tragic lynching (yes lynching) of George Floyd on May 25, 2020. A revolution was sparked and the systemic racism in place since the country’s inception has begun to unravel.

Since it’s been some time since our last episode, we also touched on the COVID-19 crisis and how it’s affected our family life.
