Customer Reviews
Compassionate and empathetic
This podcast is not easy to listen to. I lost my boyfriend and my father to murder where the Barbosa’s lost their youngest daughter Rosaura. No matter whose name you put on it, murder is murder and it hurts and affects the families involved. Joe and April do a most amazing job of capturing this emotion for other families to either share in the grief or learn to understand the grief for the first or second time. They employ a number of tried and true mechanisms for calming grief and PTSD (breathing techniques). They have shared their joys, heartbreak, accomplishments and setbacks. What I have learned not only from this podcast but from their real-life: it’s not easy to pick up the pieces and carry on the best way they can; but for the sake of their other two beautiful children- that’s just what they’ve managed to do! I know these aren’t the words April would use, but these are the words which ring true. Thank you, April and Joe Barbosa. 💜💜💜
