Join FHALMA volunteers Amarachi and Veronique as they delve into the legacy of Walter Rodney and his teachings. Recorded in February ahead of the annual FHALMA conference, we hear about his radical stance, the role of Bogle-L'Ouverture Publications in Black British history and what makes Rodney's 'Groundings With My Brothers' so relevant and resonant in today's struggles against oppression. The owner of Bogle-L'Overture Publications (one of the UK's first Black British radical bookshops), Eric Huntley, joins us with his personal memories of his friend Walter. We also have contributions from fellow FHALMA volunteers on the role that historical archives play as a place for Black British people to contextualise their history and take agency in telling their own stories.
