[Red Letter Challenge] The End of the Red Letter Challenge for Spring 2024! Debbie Yee joins Geoff and G as They Reflect on Students' Time in the Gospels

Debbie Yee is a force of nature!  She serves Northwest Christian School in so many capacities, it's difficult to keep track.  She's charging forward in school academic initiatives like the ACSI Regional Speech Meet or the NCS Math Olympiad team.  She writes grant proposals to non-profit foundations on behalf of the school.  On any given day--most days, in truth--she is the substitute teacher that fills in within a classroom on a moment's notice.  And, as cornerstone to all of that, she's a mom and a pastor's wife.

    Wow.

Though she doesn't have it to spare (surely), today Debbie takes the time to join Geoff and G for a Kingdom Culture Conversation that represents the culmination of the Red Letter Challenge.  That's right, Sunday, April 21st was the final day of the Red Letter Challenge!  Tune in as we reflect on students in the gospels for the last three months!

["What about?" Wednesday] Robby Lashua, Apologist, Stand to Reason: What about the Role of Baptism in the Life of a Believer? Is it a Prerequisite of Salvation?

As you will hear discussed in today's Kingdom Culture Conversation, there are a host of theological issues that our foundational to the Christian faith.  Conversely, there are other issues that, while important, are not as pressing as others.

Some issues represent prerequisites to salvation.  Others represent preferences.

But, as our student question goes today, where does baptism lie?  Is it a necessary point in the journey towards eternity with Christ?  Or, is it simply a point along the journey we all take in pursuit of Christ.

The difference may seem subtle.  But does eternity hang in the balance?

[Red Letter Challenge] Colleen Pfitzinger, Northwest Christian Third Grade Teacher: Matthew 8 and Helping Students to Understand 'Who' and 'What' They Are

[Red Letter Challenge] Colleen Pfitzinger, Northwest Christian Third Grade Teacher: Matthew 8 and Helping Students to Understand 'Who' and 'What' They Are

As you watch Colleen Pfitzinger, a member of Northwest Christian's third grade team, around campus, you might be tempted to think she's a bit reserved.

But, that's not the story that's coming out of her classroom.

Nope.  For years, students have reported quite the opposite:  that Colleen is not reserved, rather, she's a riot in the classroom...that Colleen knows how to make learning fun.  And, when learning is fun, students cannot get enough.

Today, we have the chance to hear from Colleen:  her testimony, her strategies for teaching, and her reflections on where we are in the Red Letter Challenge--Matthew 8.

["What about?" Wednesday] Robby Lashua of Stand to Reason: What about Luke 2:52? Is there an Evolving Christology within the Gospels?

["What about?" Wednesday] Robby Lashua of Stand to Reason: What about Luke 2:52? Is there an Evolving Christology within the Gospels?

At first glance, Luke 2:52 seems harmless enough.

"Jesus increased in wisdom, in stature, and in favor with God and man."

    But, wait a minute...

Jesus increased in wisdom?  In other words, the pre-incarnate Word from John 1 "grew in wisdom" over the course of time?  How?  Or, Colossians 1's pre-existent, uncreated God-in-the-flesh became more wise?

Further, how did Jesus increase in favor with God?  Is Luke suggesting that at one point God favored Jesus less and then, at another point, He favored Him more?  How does that work?

And, so the argument goes:  as the Gospels were written, the early church had a developing agenda for Jesus and therefore, over time, they began to exaggerate who He was and His significance.  Is it possible that there are internal clues within Scripture that reveal an evolving Christology?

To the rescue:  Robby Lashua, an apologist with Stand to Reason!  Robby helps us to understand Luke 2:52...
