On this episode I am joined by three of my friends Cassandra, Cherish and Amanda and we discuss the real life experiences of what it looked like for us going from getting saved, to having a new way of living and realizing we also needed new like-minded companions. We talk about the real longing for deep, rich friendships and how we found this community. 

We discuss real things such as following our convictions in our friendships and what to do if we don't feel good enough for great godly friendships. All of that is here for you to join on the couch with us. We chose the couch because it's a cozy spot for friends to gather and have real faith based conversations. In real time we bounce ideas off of each other, learn from one another and are edified together in the call to community that God has for us.

This was my first time hearing of Advent, so I'm asking questions many of you may have as well. Kelly is so anointed in children and family ministry, and I love learning from her. I'm so glad we get to have her on for her second time on the podcast!

The first candle (purple) symbolizes hope – the hope that the Messiah would come
The second candle (purple) symbolizes love – Gods love towards us for sending His Son Jesus to save us from our sins
The third candle (pink) symbolizes joy – the joy we find in Christ and His coming
The fourth candle (purple) symbolizes peace – the peace that comes in knowing Christ as Lord and Savior
The fifth candle is the Christ candle (white in center) which symbolizes purity
The wreath is always in the center of our table so everyday we are reminded of the Advent season.

Join us today as we meet a new friend Isaiah Leard. Isaiah is a good friend of mine, and an amazing youth leader and musician who has his fair share of roles in his local church including passionately leading a junior-high boys group. 

Isaiah shares on  important topics such as having godly character and addressing deeper issues and roots that hinder our growth in Jesus and in our relationships.

 Such a transparent episode that helps us in life experience sharing and reminding us that in all of these things that we go through, we aren't alone!

Peter knows that his time on earth is coming to an end, and so he leaves the believers with important reminders that he tells that they will need to always remember. Peter shares about the Day of The Lord, the returning of Jesus Christ. 

 One of my most favorite scriptures Peter wrote in this letter, "The Lord isn't really being slow about His promise, as some people think. No, He is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.
