Why You Need Single Friends
Its MDW ’24 and I want to wish all of you a happy official start to the “Summer of Outside”! On today’s episode I give an update on my newest video venture around the pod, give praise to the masterpiece “Hacks” season 3 is, and bow down before the Real Housewives that have changed TV forever. All this leading up to a VERY important convo I have been meaning to have with the team…why having single friends is CRUCIAL to your happiness. Of course, there is always exceptions at different stages of life, but I want to preach why I think it helps all of us.

Long time listener!
I have loved Tinx’s pod since day one. As a fellow 30-something millennial so many episodes are relevant to me now and my experience growing up. Women empowerment, women’s rights, navigating single life and dating, self reflection among others are all pod conversations I enjoy having and thinking about. Her life updates are fun as well and have always added a positive, personal touch. I love the silly and serious AMAs, ick stories and other viewers experiences that help us all feel like we’re not alone. I’m not bothered much by the ads as you can just skip them if you’re not interested. The re-brand has been interesting. I’ve found myself a lot less interested in the Friday pod. I’m sure it’s a ton of work and exhausting to always have pod topics to discuss and this takes the weight off a little bit having guests. But, I don’t care much for pop culture and have found them to be a little bit boring. There’s no structure to the conversation (which maybe that’s the point - it’s supposed to be a peek into two friends just chatting about whatever). I’ll continue to give them a try but have ended up turning off the past few. I love the pod and will continue to be a listener! I wish Tinx the best of luck and am always open to whatever changes she chooses to make to something she spent years building.
too much pop culture
love that tinx has restructured the pod and made some changes. i also think she’s a wonderful host overall. the one thing that makes me less interested in the new pod is how she’s made pop culture wayyy too large of a talking point. beyond dedicating the entire friday episode to pop culture, she’s been rambling about it in her monday pods, and even throwing in commentary in the live show. she’s more or less said that her whole internet presence is about female friendships and women empowerment, etc but i think the heavy reality show and pop culture fixation just seems aimless and misses the mark for me. respectfully, i don’t tune in to hear about vanderpump this and rich housewives that 🤍
Why so many ads?!
Love the pod, especially the AMAs but it feels like she's so focused on getting the ads out that she barely takes the time to listen to her callers.. or if she does she'll cut them off to go to an ad break. Needs a better way of including ads
