The Damning Silence (Mount Zirkel Wilderness, Colorado)
All night, camped near a mountain stream, CMarie lies awake listening. She's hoping to hear a sound she hasn't heard in a long time: a wolf howl. And as she waits, she considers the ways each of us howls -- and how sometimes, when we don't, the silence aches.

The Human Element (Near Payette Lake, Idaho)

Feeds my soul
Recordings of my Western land and water scapes carry me away from pavement, sidewalks, over-tended or abandoned landscaping of town and into increasingly hard to find quiet natural spaces. CMarie’s essays and readings fully engage my imagination and surprise me with new and engaging ideas. Colorado Public Radio and the producers are on to something! Calming
Living in the city, I crave some nature and gentle, calming reflection. This is a nice blend of poetry and nature—of contemplation and activation.
