TODAY'S REAL LIFE COCKTAIL:
Barbed Wire Tini
 
1 ounce good vodka
1 teaspoon sweet vermouth
1/2 teaspoon Pernod
1/2 teaspoon Chambord
Lemon twist for garnish
 
Put all the liquids in a shaker with cracked ice.
Strain and pour into a chilled martini glass
Dress with lemon twist

1 shot whatever whisky you have in your sod house
Small bottle of sarsaparilla
 
Put some ice in a highball glass
Fill half with sarsaparilla
Add the whiskey
Stir gently
Top up with sarsaparilla

1 ¼ ounces whiskey, bourbon or rye: I’m using Wild Turkey 101
1 ¼ ounces Sloe Gin: I'm using 1881 Sloe Gin because I like the fruity warm feeling it gives me. 
Pour liquids into a shaker with cracked ice.
Stir well and strain and pour into your favorite 3 ounce cocktail glass.
 
When you finish your cocktail, you can rightly say, Black Hawk down!

Southside Cocktail: An Al Capone Favorite!
 
2 ounces Gin
3/4 ounce Fresh lime juice
1/2 ounce Simple syrup
Mint leaves
Mint sprigs
 
Muddle mint leaves in the bottom of a cocktail shaker
Add gin. lime juice and simple syrup.
Fill with cracked ice
Hard shake for ten seconds
Strain and pour into chilled cocktail glass
Dress with mint sprig

Classic Benedictine
2 ounces blended scotch 1 ounce Benedictine LiqueurQ Ginger Ale
Fill a mixing glass or shaker with iceAdd the scotch and Benedictine.Stir...do NOT shake.Pour into a highball glass but do not strain.Top off with Q ginger ale.
I like to pour mine over one large ice sphere. Some say that is sacrilege but I do my own thing...always.
