TITANIC TALK | Titanic Collector & Memorabilia Broker David Condon
David Condon started collecting and selling pieces of the set from James Cameron's Titanic before the film had come out in cinemas. A lucky coincidence had him stumble upon a story about a stash of timber, decking and plasterwork that had been discarded erroneously in a Mexican field not far from the studio where Titanic was filmed. The locals had been invited to come and take what they needed. Many of the items were well made and too good to dump so they were repurposed in homes and business buildings. It was free building material.
There followed David's twenty five plus year Mexican scavenger hunt for Titanic memorabilia in the form of doors, railings, portholes and wooden paneling. Parts of a movie set that are usually taken to the dump to be trashed.
Nelson and Alexandra barely had enough time in this episode to hear all his wonderful stories of discovery. He's a Titaniac Detective in the most interesting ways.

Titanic Talk | Never Let Go Actor & Artist Michael Kinnan
Michael Kinnan never expected a ten minute college assignment based on his favourite movie, Titanic, would turn into an hour long homage to James Cameron's epic tale. NEVER LET GO sees Michael telling the story of Jack and Rose and he plays ALL the parts.
The one man show has played in New York, Los Angeles and The Edinburgh Festival transcending language and cultures with just enough combination of camp, tongue in cheek and pathos to have the New York Times declare "...as for the sex scene... It's better here'.
Nelson and Alexandra delve into the origins of making an intimate close up show about one of the biggest films of all time, stripped down to the essence of a young Edwardian woman falling in love with Jack Dawson, without sacrificing the horror and pain of the loss of so many lives.
Michael next performs Never Let Go at Dynasty Typewriter on April 16th 2024 - the day after the 112th anniversary of the sinking and again May 22nd - June 1st in New York at Brooklyn's Brick Theater.
