This week's theme is Vibrant Matter. The curator is Ariana Martinez, an audio producer and multimedia artist.

Why did Ariana choose this theme? "Because sound works through vibration, through the displacement of air and the resonance of surfaces, I believe it’s a medium uniquely suited to help us learn from environments (both “natural” and “manmade”), from the objects that surround us, and from the inner workings of our own bodies. Sound illuminates what is alive and responsive in all things. These works were selected for the way they use sound to show us the interconnectedness and shared life of people, places, and things."

This week's theme is True Crime All Day. The curator is Bob Motta, a criminal defense trial attorney and host of Defense Diaries.

Why did Bob choose this theme? "My love of true crime is born out of the fact that criminal defense has been in my blood all of my life. My father is a criminal defense attorney and I followed in his footsteps — I have been a criminal defense trial attorney for twenty years. I'm a true crime creator and a huge fan of deep dives. I love to hear the intricate details of the cases and the backstories of the victims and the parties involved in the case. These aren't just stories; these are real people that have gone through massive trauma and I enjoy pods that acknowledge that fact...all of the pods that we recommended do just that!”

Amazing place to find new podcasts

Arielle is just bloody amazing in terms of what she does for the podcast community and indies in particular. This is showcased through this show where you get 5 new recommendations for other podcasts based around a different theme each week. The curators are other podcasters working in the same genres and I’ve come away with a few shows I pretty much have permanently in my rotation now. If you’re looking for a place to get other good podcasts, this is the one for you

Wow! Wow wow wow. The absolute best podcast

When I was 19, I traveled up the into the cliffs of Peru and camped for three days awaiting the condours to arrive. On the third morning, at dusk, I woke up the sounds of their hisses and snorts. There I was, in the multitude of nature hearing the nesting sounds of one of nature's most incredible animals. It was the second best auditory experience of my life...because the first is...LISTENING TO THIS BRILLIANT PODCAST EVERY WEEK.
