Feet In 2 Worlds
From Feet in 2 Worlds: our new season, ”Home, Interrupted” explores how the climate crisis affects immigrants across the U.S., and how immigrant communities are finding new ways to deal with a warming planet. From Florida farmworkers who have to contend with extreme temperatures, to Maya immigrants in Nebraska who are experimenting with sustainable farming practices based on ancient methods, to New York high school students who are helping to design flood-resistant playgrounds, ”Home, Interrupted” will bring listeners on a journey through deeply-reported narrative podcasts.

I grew up in Queens, NY, one of the most diverse counties in the nation. The stories featured in the episodes of the Feet in 2 Worlds podcast remind me of walks through East Elmhurst with my 🇩🇴 grandmother, afternoons gardening with my neighbor Telly, who was from 🇹🇹 and arguments I had with the 🇨🇮 nuns from my high school- in Spanish!! In a time where immigrant communities are under siege, this podcast captures the true American tale. This is a podcast about celebrating humans, building community and keeping our experiences alive through the art of storytelling. I invite you to check out Fi2W.org. This podcast is only one of many journalistic projects this team produces. Bravo Feet in 2 Worlds! 🎧🎤🏆 P.S. Did you know the last two podcasts were produced by students at The New School?! That's right y'all, Feet in 2 Worlds is an independent media outlet AND training program. ✊🏽
