    259: Permission to Slow Start Your Year: 5 inquiries to Root Into What Matters Most to You This Year

    There are many things you could do this year, many things you think you should do, or maybe this year you have no idea what to do!? Or maybe you are feeling like you'd rather just pull the cover over your head. DON'T: Let the chaos and pressure of the world, or the should's of your self-induced pressure swirl you up or stop you from breaking through to more elevated, expanded, supportive realities.  DO: Turn inward, tune into your heart and tap into your deeper wisdom and desires. Dare to let those inspire and guide you. DO: Choose to tune into Wisdom before you choose your focuses for this year...that higher guidance saying "Focus here! Here is where the flow and momentum are!"    Wisdom teaches us to use the practice of "inquiry" to consider the path before moving into action... which results in more easeful effort, sustainable success + fluid efficiency (plus keeps us light, which we need during challenging times, to keep us sustained.) Wisdom requires us to slow down, to hear the insights and guidance. So we practice the "Slow Start Our Year" and intentionally give ourselves space to hear our deeper truth and wisdom.  If we want to access Wisdom vs. just more mental ideas, we need to FEEL not THINK our way forward.  CONSIDER THIS: Your mind can only create what it's done or seen before. If we want things to be different, we have to go deeper - into our hearts, bodies, and "subtle energy" realms. Which also means we also need something to 'do' -- we can't just sit around and wait for insight to drop in, LOL. Every January I pull a small set of potent inquiries from the Emerge Visioning process that are like portals into a more expansive possibility, higher intelligence, and guidance. This morning I combed through the inquiries in the Emerge Journal an pulled 5 to get you started  visioning, intention setting & focusing for the year to come.     258 Year End Honoring & Receiving Ritual: Feel Your Invisible Impact, Growth & Progress (rebroadcast)

    In a year where we spend 8,720 hours doing, giving, working, caring, creating, mentoring (and sleeping) … and so much more … to  not create space to reflect on all we have done and who we have become, as well as recognize (and honor + receive) our impact, growth & progress, would be just plain crazy :) Plus honoring feels great! And when we pause to actually see and feel both the visible - but even more so the invisible - we actually RECEIVE energy in return in ways that make a big difference in how we experience our lives, world, wellbeing, security and satisfaction.   The energy and act of "Honoring" is one of the most powerful things we have access to, but that we often under use. Honoring is a form a love. It melts away the heavy feels, the judgements of not enough, the pressure to do more. It turns struggle into comfort and possibility.  I invoke the super power of honor every year at this time because I continue to see the power it has to open our hearts, lighten us up, fill us up and give us a way to start the next cycle radiant & clear, roooted in our enoughness. Which is why I am re-running this episode again this year - I just listened to it myself ... and again it really supported me to see and feel and VALUE the invisible things I've done PLUS see and acknowledge others in my lives for the invisible and important ways they show up. We think of honor as something someone else has to give to us - when in reality we have the power to bestow honor upon ourselves, in a healthy way, with humility and dignity.  There is so much to say about honor and what a super power it is.     257: A Year-End Release to Feel the Peace - 3 Ways to Clear Out Now So You're Set Up for Next Year

    Imagine a world in which in December all humans turned their focus to connect to what matters, and worked with the energy of the season in ways that support their wellbeing in all ways. So come the start of the next linear calendar year, we all felt fresh, radiant, clear and centered ... ready to receive what is to come. We don't have to wait for that reality - we make it now. One of ways we 'do' this is to tap into the wisdom of "releasing practices".  Intentional reflections and actions we engage in as part of our December Downshifting that:  clear out any emotional, mental, relational or energetic "interference" you do NOT want to take into your next year cycle  create harmony in your relationships with people, your body, and your money, so you start the next cycle with more peace, and low to no drama  plant the seeds for what you want to manifest and experience next year in projects, career, relationships, so they are there waiting for you to re-engage with.       As I felt into what would serve us this year to release, I turned to the same three practices I do every December myself, and decided to re-run last year's episode because it's what is still needed: #257: Year-End Release to Feel the Peace: Clear Out Now So You're Set Up for Next Year. Consider this: The over-culture makes us think we have to keep creating new. But wisdom teachings and structures are timeless. So when we use the same basic structure year after year, we can relax into the known structure, but bring a different and fresh energy and focus year after year. This makes inner peace and releases internal pressure. Join me and I'll take you through 3 Releasing practices: Release Twiggly Danglers - clearing these out. Choose 1 relationship. Choose either your money or body and action to embrace the twiggly dangler into harmony. Release a Short & Transform the "Feels" Attached to It - choose one short - disappointment/failture/shortcoming that was related things out of your control, professionally, personally and in the bigger planetary reality. Release Threads of Possibility into Next Year - choose projects and relationships you want to put some energy into now, to see potentials for next year, so they are there waiting.     256: A December Downshift Practice: Relax to Release. Rest in Place. Replenish to Regenerate.

    The December Downshift is a practice we come back to year after year to signal to our internal systems (and the people and projects around us) that it's time to start the slow down vs. get swirled into the year-end or holiday madness, followed by new year start pressure. It's the cyclical co-creation rhythm and structure we practice to mimic the natural world, who has managed to prosper for billlions of year (and gives us a template for how to evolve, grow and thrive).   Think of the practice of downshifting at year end like driving a manual transmission car - you don't want to keep moving through Dec in 5th gear, at a high pace/ intensity/output still running on mental or emotional stressors from the weeks/months prior, and then hard downshift into neutral the last days of the year ... you'll blow out your system. And then likely need to recover from all the OVER indulging, doing, spending, connecting in the new year. So you start depleted vs. ready to receive.  It's a wiser to move through the gears one by one, over the course of weeks, so you can: savor your connections, deeply replenish, and receive from all you have created the previous 12 months. Making choices that support you to be healthy, clear and ready to receive inspiration, insight and clarity for focusing and co-creating next year. Every year while the process of year-end downshifting is the same (there are 4 phases of downshifting - relax, rest, replenish, regenerate), the flavor and focus is different based on that year.  This year ... I tuned into create this year's December Downshift practice for you and received these themes: PEACE, PRESENCE, PEOPLE + PROSPER. I'll guide you through two somatic meditations + help you put intentional & spacious structure into place for Dec + Jan in these parts: Relax to Release  Rest in Place  Replenish to Regenerate  Complete with the Holiday Self Sustainability Practice  For 15 years I've created this structure through December and January for the co-creators + people willing to do things differently, wiser.     When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace - Jimi Hendrix.  In our second part of the Genuine Power series, I'm inviting us to explore a different way to look and see the dynamics of power at play on our planet, in people, and how we ourselves can contribute to the kind of power that leads to peace, for all. I love using the power of language to evolve how we see things - to wake us up to what is real, what's interfering and distracting us, and where we do have the power to be pioneers in co-creating the new, for ourselves, those we influence and interact with and the larger ecosystems and planet we are a part of.  Some things we'll explore together today : From Patriarchy --> Power-archy From Polarizing Duality Reality -->to New Possibility Paradoxes From Domination --> Synergy  A Wisdom Model for how to go through these times - Wisdom-Power-Love My intention is that this conversation will serve to give us insight and wisdom to keep bringing us each back to center, and to remember the power of connection to our hearts, the planet, and the people on it. As well as to give us a elevated way to understand our current times .... which are tied to thousands of years of entertwined power threads ... so we can open our eyes and tune into our bodies and beings to what is real and true. And embrace our unique part and path through this time many call "the Great Change."  There are no simple answers. No one is winning on a planet where so much destruction and domination is thriving.     Hello Dear Ones! After a month of being silent mode (and navigating a natural disaster) ... sitting with what words and wisdom wanted to emerge to support and guide us through these intense, transformative times... the inspiration came through for a 3-part series on Power ... specifically what I am calling "Genuine Power" - natural, innate, native power, different than authentic power and for sure different than distorted power. We are going to explore what genuine power looks and feels like ... what distorted, destructive power looks and feels like ... what is at the roots of both...  how do we open up our eyes to see and discern truth and reality .... and then how do we apply our co-creative power to reimagine the way we and this world work, now, from the inside out. This first episode in the series is #254: A Call to Honor, Humanity & Sanity.   Imagine this: What if in order to hold a position of power and leadership in any system - from a corporation to government to a family or community - a person had to meet the qualifications of embodying and expressing Honor, Humanity and Sanity ... and they also had to create an environment that instilled and cultivated those qualities in others?     Remember, the fertlizer to the see of new, elevated realities are to imagine it, bring language to it, and then through our voices, choices, presence, relations and projects, co-create it. In the podcast we will hone in on HONOR. HUMANITY. SANITY and use the power of the definitions below to bring forth the essence of what we are talking about what leadership - personal and systemic - looks and feels like when it's rooted in wholeness.  Genuine - native, natural, innate Honor - regard to respect. honesty. integrity.     Power Pause: Reset Imbalances + Refocus Your Energy for Last Part of the Year

    Wise beings know how to use the natural cycles of the earth and universe to support us to grow our work, wealth and relationships, and to support our overall wellbeing, and keep us focused on what matters. Which is why at the quarter point shifts of the year - Solstices and Equinoxes - our personal leadership best practice (and one we can do with our teams and partners) is taking what I call a Power Pause. Equinoxes specifically are all about illuminating imbalances, shifting habits to restore wellbeing, and re-focusing your priorities and intentions for the next quarter. In this episode we focus on the last quarter - between now and the end of the Roman calendar year (about 9 weeks) or between now and end of January, the start of the new lunar calendar year (about 12 weeks). Tune into this Power Pause and take a step back to get some perspective on the main parts of your whole life - your work in the world, your wellbeing foundation, your relationships and your personal growth / presence.   I will lead us through a creative inquiry process including somatic visualization to tune into and get clear on: Where you truly desire to focus your energy, time and resources this last part of the year - so you start the new year in a good space + create momentum for next year What two focus points - in your work in the world + your wellbeing foundation - matter most this last part of the year What two relationships - with an individual and with a group/team/family/system are imbalanced and need a reset.   See you there!  Christine  P.S.     Have you ever considered how the work you do and the way you work could be different if you & all people put Wellbeing at the center? Imagine if our culture embraced that all humans are designed differently, which means what supports our wellbeing - mind, body, heart, spirit - will be different. Therefore, the way we work, and the environments we work within need to be flexible, fluid and responsive to the different kinds of work styles required to empower and enable diverse humans to thrive. Imagine a world in which we defined work not just by what we did to receive money, but all the ways in which we give our energy, care, and time to a system…including caregiving & creative expression…as well as the jobs & roles we play within organizations and professions. In this episode, Christine and Jennifer explore 3 Realms to illuminate the way you are designed to work best, liberate you from what doesn't align, and then begin to take small but significant steps to bring your reality into alignment with your design now. We'll also explore and illuminate what must be present for you in the environments you work within in order for you to truly thrive. Remember: You and I have the power to co-create culture.
