Fifteen Minutes of Fascism

Fifteen Minutes of Fascism is a sadly topical podcast covering the global rise of the radical right. Listen every Thursday for news, analysis, historical background, and celebrations of the deaths of right-wing figures throughout history.
Sadly Topical Yet Highly Relevant
Feb 16
In the late ‘90s I was the Editorial Assistant and Bibliography Compiler for an essay collection entitled *Fascism's Return: Scandal, Revision, and Ideology Since 1980* (U Nebraska P, 1998) during which time I was both fascinated with and dismayed at the looming specter of fascism in the late twentieth century. However, Craig Johnson’s no-nonsense, erudite, and gut-punching episodes make it quite clear that facism's rise is even more ubiquitous during our early twenty-first century and, thus aptly described, is “sadly topical.” For those of you who are also realists, I invite you to subscribe to this well-produced, highly accessible, and often amusing (with a wee bit o’ black humor) podcast.

If you consume all media you will learn that biased media sources feed half the story. The half they want you to know. This podcast is no different. If you are looking for something unbiased concerning fascism check out New Discourses with James Lindsay.
Informative

This podcast points out fascism, which we need to do. Once it’s already taken root, it is too late. It’s important to be critical and call people out far before they’ve taken and consolidated power.
Contemporary American fascist intellectuals?

Wonderful podcast, Craig. Can you do an episode on contemporary American fascist intellectuals? I’ve read a bit of Adrian Vermeule and Patrick Deneen, but I don’t really know about any others.
