Election news? No! Listen to Film Shake. This is not your typical, underprepared podcast project that makes 43 episodes before dropping off. These guys, well, at least one of them 😉, always come prepared. They take the time to edit audio from the films into the episodes. I’ve found myself reaching for this podcast in the same way I reach for the familiar comfort blanket that 90’s movies are for me. I also appreciate the hosts leaving modern day poison, oops, sorry, politics out of the show. My modern day self wonders if I differ politically from the hosts, and my inner, good self shuts that down in favor of 90’s blockbuster hits. Let’s talk about the best decade in human history (for film)!

Listen to them all - but this is about Batman Returns. I loved this episode. Listening to the hosts reminisce on watching this as a kid and it took me right back to being a child and asking my dad to take me for a haircut to look like Bruce Wayne. And they don’t take themselves too seriously which is one of my favorite qualities in a podcast!

Picking an era that I grew up in is amazing! I love the comedy. I even love having a podcast brings me back to me childhood.

The 90s was such an awesome decade for movies that having a podcast dedicated to reviewing the good and bad from that era is a no brainer. Luckily for you though this podcast delivers that concept in such an enjoyable way that why look for anything else?!? Plus as a comic fan, they have great shows around Batman, Tales from the Crypt, The Crow and more to keep me coming back!

Jordan and Nicholas have such great chemistry, and listening to them wax poetic about 90’s movies is pure joy (or is it lush?) Between the punishment movies and trivia, it’s clear they know their stuff, and their generational clashes are hilarious. Sure, they might be straight (nobody’s perfect!) but it’s hard to pass up their well thought film discussions!

So glad I found this podcast. As a child of the 90's I love that Nicholas and Jordan cover all my favorite movies. Hello, Tales from the crype and the Buffy movie, yes please! The hosts do a great job every episode, can't wait for the next one to come out. Even if you've never seen the movie they're talking about the episode is still worth the listen. I recommend listening to this show!
