    We’re back! Episode 74 is all about getting caught up and stories about the snow. We get updates on sports baseball and football. Katie tells us all about small town life and how much of a joy that has been. Mandee is getting over another round of the crud and hopes to continue feeling more human. We also talk all things reading and new places to go for tracking your books!     After a beautiful Christmas week, Mandee and Katie are back! We get caught up on all of the sports and life events that happened over the Christmas break. Mandee gives us an update on Freddie Freeman’s adoption (the dog not the baseball player). Katie is officially done with her ordination paperwork and has basically written a dissertation.     Find Your People Episode 71

    Merry Everything and Happy Christmas! Mandee and Katie are summing up all of the sports and Christmas music for the week. Tis the season! Katie is still writing about Jesus, so her brain is a little fried, but she got some great old family party recipes out of storage for us this week. Mandee has been driving all over creation for court dates and has a new podcast to share along with some other great favorites. If you don’t hear from us next week, don’t fret, we are giving ourselves a lot of grace this holiday season. Do the same for yourself! You are all so special to us and you are doing all the things. We are so glad you are here!   Katie’s Food - Classic Southern Christmas Appetizers Cheese Ring 1 lb grated cheddar cheese 1 c chopped pecans 1 c mayo 1 small onion, grated Black pepper to taste Dash of cayenne pepper Garlic salt to taste Strawberry preserves Mix all ingredients except preserves; mold into shape of a ring.  Chill.  Put strawberry preserves in middle of cheese ring.  Serve with crackers.   Cheese Balls 2 lbs Velveeta cheese, softened 2 8oz cream cheese, softened 1 ½ tsp garlic powder 2-3 c chopped pecans Mix all ingredients thoroughly. (use hands if necessary) - use only 1 c of the pecans.  Shape into several balls & roll in remaining nuts on waxed paper.  Makes 4 to 5 balls. **You don’t have to add the nuts in the cheese ball.  These also freeze well.   Whiskey Punch 2 12 oz cans orange juice (frozen) 2 6 oz cans of lemonade (frozen) 2 6 oz cans of limeade (frozen 1 fifth whiskey 2 lg bottles club soda   Mix all ingredients together.   Madee’s Favorites Fresh Air - Jon Batiste and Washington Brothers episodes especially good.  Trader Joe’s - Jingle Jangle and holiday hash John Rutter - Coventry Carols  ASO - Angels We Have Heard on High Anthropologie Sale - 50% Off

    Episode 70 finds Katie and Mandee trying to make it through life and remembering what their names are. We get lots of sports updates as well as some good recipes and podcasts. Mandee gives the best reality check that we needed. Thanksgiving is closer to Christmas this year than most, so we are not just feeling rushed. We are actually rushing to get it all done!     Find Your People Episode 69

    Episode 69 finds Mandee and Katie up early and trying their best and over peopling. Anyone else feel that way? You are not alone friends! We do catch up on all things football and Thanksgiving. We have some great favorites and an easy side dish. This community is bringing us joy this holiday season when it is hard to find elsewhere. Go out friends and find the people that bring you joy.   Katie’s Food Richard’s Family Broccoli Casserole 1 can cream of celery soup 1 c sour cream 1 bag frozen broccoli 1 large carrot grated   Mix and cook at 350 for 30-45 min or until done.     Welcome to Episode 68! Friends it is so good to be found no matter how far from home we roam. Mandee is celebrating Thanksgiving with her people while Freddie (aka Denis the Menace) is making life so much fun.
