Finding Peace From the Mother Wound with Obio Jones

It Didn't Break Me

Your first example of how to connect, love, and nurture is provided by your parents. But what happens if your family doesn't fit the idyllic TV show definition of a family? In this episode, I speak with Obio Jones. Obio is an influencer, coach + LGBTQ advocate. His success in helping people is directly linked to not feeling loved or supported by the first woman in his life: his mother. Looking back, he sees that she wasn't the mother he wanted, but she WAS the mother he got.

I invite you to join our conversation as Obio and I discuss:

  • Affection
  • Reaffirming Language
  • Feeling Unworthy
  • Mother Wound
  • Emotions
  • Relationships
  • Perfectionism
  • Defensive Language
  • Judging Others
  • Awareness
  • Family Dynamics
  • Letting Go
