Rumble Strip orients itself around the profound issues that accompany rurality in an urbanizing nation, depicted through vignettes of the unique people of Vermont—neighbors, strangers, and friends. In this way, the brilliance of Rumble Strip is obvious from the first episode. Erica’s unique illustration of Vermont reflects the region’s slower pace of life, while beautifully capturing the calm intelligence of pragmatism and rural America. The method Rumble Strip employs in its method of storytelling is both breathtaking and refreshing. I cannot recommend Rumble Strip enough.

I love this show. The host isn’t afraid to tackle heavy or complex topics and is so good at coaxing the story out of her guests. I always finish a show feeling more connected to others, more empathetic and proud to be a Vermonter.

Such beautiful interviews and honest answers. Erica’s magnification of subtle human emotions and understanding of the world is so special. I feel soothed but not unchallenged when I listen. What a treasure.
