It’s like sitting in a room with friends

I love this podcast. I stumbled upon it after a friend recommended it to me, and I didn’t realize that I had been following the host on Twitter (for his hilarious sports takes) for years. To me, this is a podcast that emulates the best in sports commentary. It feels celebratory, nostalgic, and sincere. I’m every episode, you can feel the joy and appreciation for each moment. If you think you know a moment in sports, the host and (top quality) guests will help you open your eyes to things you may have missed or they’ll help you appreciate and see that moment from a perspective you haven’t considered before. This is the most thoughtful podcast about sports I’ve come across. It genuinely feels like you’re reliving and remembering something special with a group of friends.

My kind of sports show

The reason this podcast is so great is because you dissect moments that aren’t just a game winner at the buzzer like Bartman, F****** Rudy Gay and Temecula. You had me interested in horse racing for over an hour and I’ve never seen a horse race in my life.

First Ballot is authentic and original in every way. You’ll laugh and learn something new every time. No phony hot takes or hidden agendas. Just dissecting historical sports moments with a bunch of laughs in between.

Should this Podcast be in the HOF??

Neil is funny, well-researched, and a great host. Super fun podcast for sports fans everywhere.
