Pediatrica intensiva: Art & Science of Pediatric Critical Care
Bridging the gap between literature and practice in pediatric intensive care. Featuring guests from around the world and pediatric intensive care specialists Greg Kelly (Westmead Children's Hospital Sydney), Peta Alexander (Boston Children's Hospital), Karen Choong (McMaster Children's Hospital Canada) and Mike Clifford (Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne) Pediatrica intensiva won’t tell you the answers, because no one knows what they are, but we can give you a chance to hear respected experts talk about what they actually do with some of the toughest problems in our field. Rather than having short episodes on a topic, we have whole seasons. And that gives us the chance to go deep. We really hope that you find it helpful - please listen and subscribe to Pediatrica intensiva wherever you listen to podcasts and follow us on iTunes and Twitter (https://twitter.com/PedsIntensiva), share with your friends and reach out with any feedback, requests or comments. Of course, information in the podcast is not meant to replace the advice of a health professional and is in no way a substitute for the relationship between a patient and his/her/their own physician

Thank you for sharing this info. Question for you, why don’t we use the tests we have to start testing the community instead of testing those that are already sick. Does the diagnosis really change how you manage the patient? Other than negative pressure rooms? From what the Italian Dr said it sounds like the x Ray could be used as a diagnostic tool as he said they are all identical. If we want to stop this, I feel like we need to be isolating the asymptomatic community spreaders. Maybe start with those that HAVE to be out in the community- Healthcare workers, grocery store employees, pharmacy employees etc..

Thank you for putting this out there. I believe your discussion may prevent a huge explosion of COVID19 if the warnings and advice is followed. Today is March 16 , we just NOW went into community lockdown. At UCSF medical center we are getting ready . This information is so valuable for community preparation.Coming from the Italian hot zone area ,an amazing honest look at what these brave Specialists are doing, mistakes they learned from and ramping up their hospitals to perform at maximum capacity in a very short time period. It is obvious that practices could not continue as usual and drastic changes were made to all aspects of care from individual patient level to the general population Can’t wait to seen all these people on a Tedtalk stage once this is over. I have alerted my colleagues to listen and heed your warnings from San Francisco to Australia Bravo
