Magnificent Moira - Marianne Ortepi - November 7, 2024

On this episode of Beyond the Break presented by the HBPA of Ontario, host Jamie Attard and Woodbine track announcer Robert Geller take a close look at Moira's incredible victory in last Saturday's Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf at Del Mar (1:14), as well as her sale just 48 hours later at Fasig Tipton in Kentucky. U.S based trainer Brendan Walsh had his filly Somethinabouther more than ready for her first race on Tapeta in Sunday's Grade 3 Mazarine (11:25), and just a race later it was no laughing matter when Josie Carroll's He's Not Joking pulled away to an impressive win in the Grade 3 Grey Stakes (15:55). Jamie and Robert were easily in agreement as to who took home honours as HBPA Performance of the Week (21:30) and Marianne Ortepi, founder and owner of Quicksilver Equine Therapy joins the show (25:20) to share the unique story of her life and career devoted to taking care of and helping horses. Globetrotter - Robert Geller - October 31, 2024

Milestones - Angus Buntain - October 24, 2024
