Hands-On Windows 88: Workarounds for Windows 11 Issues

Hands-On Windows 88: Workarounds for Windows 11 Issues

Windows has never been without its controversies. There have been dark years of doubt and uncertainty, of Microsoft putting its corporate interests ahead of the needs of its customers. But it's fair to say that this type of behavior, which we now call enshittification, has escalated dramatically in recent years. And that Windows 11, in particular, has victimized its users with a steadily growing list of affronts, big and small, changes to the product that ignore the explicit choices and configurations we make, changes to behaviors that run contrary to decency and common sense, and changes to functionality that undermines the reasons we use Windows in the first place.

Best tech network.

Stuck on Politics

This show has lost all tech relevance. I am not interested in Elon Musk bashing or politics, I came here for technology. Whether you hate Twitter or not. Despite feedback and comments from viewers to stick to tech, it comes back to political views of the host. Even the guests try to pull the show back on topic. Now they will spend more than a year stuck on AI. What else is there to say? I know it is easy to find guests familiar with AI but there’s more in Tech than AI. Enough has be rehashed for now. Sorry, I won’t listen whether it’s $7 or free anymore. Jumped the Shark.

Lost interest in this pod

the Twitter/Elon schadenfreude is unlistenable. The vaccine cheerleading during the pandemic was annoying. The pod got way too political during Trump’s presidency. I still enjoy the Mac/Apple podcast though. I used to come to this for a more global view of the tech industry, which it does not provide me.
