Smallmouth Bass Adventure To Little Falls Dam
The DC Metro area has been in a drought for months. The Potomac River has been at the lowest levels in years. The gauge at Little Falls recently reported a low of 2.4'. Rob decided to take advantage of the low water to explore a low dam that is normally submerged. He and his friend Dan followed the shoreline right up to the dam. The water was extremely low, the wind was howling, and the smallies were biting. Dan temporarily lost his had in the wind. He was able to fish that out. However, if you find the tip top to an Orvis TLS rod along this stretch please let us know.

RareWaters | Private Property Booking With RJ Hosking
RJ Hosking is the chief executive officer of RareWaters. He is an industry leader that has worked formerly within the outdoor and experiential industries with Patagonia, Zamp Solar, Dometic Outdoor, and Airbnb. Rob catches up with RJ near the shore in Ventura, California. RJ starts off the conversation with his life and career in the outdoors and then transitions to RareWaters.
RJ discusses the three types of properties available for booking and explains how these are private properties with unfished waters. The company is not buying up properties and making the waters private. The land is already privately owned, and the owners can make some side money while anglers camp and fish or stay at an existing building. You can call their customer service to help you decide which property fits your plans. The local fly shops have a heads up to expect you so don’t be shy.

Neighborly Love!!
Rob this was awesome, super informative, super educational, I learned so much during a single episode, this is great work and content you have here.
Salmon river
Hey Rob, just wanted to reach out and let you know. I really love the show. Especially the episodes about the salmon river. Going there this weekend, for some reason I always wanted to catch one in a snow storm so figured this weekend was as good as any. Lol.
Anyway, listening to your last podcast, and I couldn’t believe the bands that you were listing. You started talking about ride, and I was thinking to myself, there’s no way he’s talking about the band I think he is. Turns out you were, along with the charlatans, Nick Drake, INXS. Anyway, seems like we have a similar love for music and also steelhead fishing. Who knows, maybe I’ll see you on the Salmon River one of these days or at the bar inside the Tailwater!!
Happy Thanksgiving!
