I’ve lived in central Iowa all my life and was never aware of this tragic happening. Thank you for sharing your family story.

Very proud of my relatives for doing such a good job. Minor suggestion: it's Adjutant General not Adjunct General.
Returning to Roots
18/02/2019
My family’s farm is about 3 miles east of the Tjernagel farm. After graduating as one of many Norsemen, I went onto college and then moved to Washington D.C. I made every conscious decision to move away from the farm and away from rural life. I chuckle at this now, having settled in rural Western North Dakota and about how farm life naturally sneaks back into my routine in the most unconscious of ways. And now as I churn butter and listen to this well done podcast, this story captivates and satisfies my cravings to get closer to my heart, the stories of my roots and farmstead family. Thank you for continuing on the legacy of small town support and closeness of neighbors. Many blessings to all who helped bring this story to life again.
