Cheers Flo, Rachel, Chloe

Look forward to hearing the excellent and fun Flo-Rachel-Chloe Trio weekly analysis of women’s football in Europe. I won’t post my predictions and analysis of UWCL semi-finals and final (Hopes and fears for Bompastor’s Lyon). Instead, I’d like to hear what you think of Casey Stoney’s San Diego Wave fc so far. You can watch highlights on YouTube. First, it is thrilling to see the USA-England-Sweden front line play of Alex Morgan, Jody Taylor, Sofia Jakobsson. San Diego are grouped with the other West sides in the pre-season challenge cup. Tough group in which top teams Portland and Seattle are favoured. After 5 matches of 6. Seattle are 4-0-1 & top group. Portland 3-1-1 (love, love the Cascadian rivalry which Seattle wins more often) San Diego 1-3-1. Angel City 0-4-1.

San Diego got a 1-1 draw and a 4-2 win against Angel City with goals from that attacking front line. But their most competitive matches have been vs Portland 0-1 and 2-3. Holding Portland to 1 goal and especially coming back from 3 down to score 2 shows great promise for an expansion side.

Thanks for the pod.

Upfront has me in my feels!

Look forward to this pod every week for the football insights and the banter but really appreciated the IWD reflections this week I wasn’t prepared for the lovely and heartfelt comments. Huge love all around - keep it up!

Love the format - hope they don’t change it

The big pick up this year has been Dotun. He’s fantastic. He presents like he has the interest of a casual fan but he asks very good questions of the pundits that really build up a terrific conversation.

Andy is a fountain of knowledge and the show always finds another writer of very fine ability to debate and build up a great conversation. Great format. Really hope they keep it as is next season.
