For the Sake of Our Youth with Tessa Stuckey Failing Motherhood
-
- Parenting
Licensed Professional Counselor & mom of 4 boys, Tessa Stuckey is here to share she still doesn't have it all figured out.
BUT- she HAS written a book called "For the Sake of Our Youth: A Therapist's Perspective on Raising Your Family in Today's Culture."
In her work with teens, she began seeing a trend of suicidal ideation in teens with no mental illness. As a mom of littles herself, she wanted to see what was contributing to this huge wave of struggling teens who went to the same high school she did!
She identified 6 cultural influences that affect teenage depression, anxiety, and suicide-ality. She sat down to write an article for a local newspaper and couldn't stop writing.
In our interview, she shares the advice she needed to hear when barely hanging on by a thread with her boys, as well as the advice she's compiled in her book.
She even teaches practical takeaways like "the RESET" and "the TURNAROUND".
