Jo Anne Worley is my cluckin muse-Chad Kornack aka Birdbrain the Human Chicken

I go about town in a giant chicken suit. I try finding work this way and I socialize this way. What in the world could possibly drive me to do this? That might be the fairest question of the day. And to be honest, in answering that question, I could discuss details on any level, from my own personal story to the complicated state of the world. With a unique upbringing and a colorful career in costume performance behind me, I relocated to Portland to study sociology at PSU. As anyone would naturally expect, the intersection of my entertainment background and my sociological viewpoints lead me to my ultimate destiny of becoming a giant chicken. That tracks, right? The “guy in a chicken suit” is a classic comedy cliché. In choosing to embody such a ridiculous visage, I hope to not only bring laughter to people, but perhaps, just perhaps, cause them to pause and consider just how seriously they might be taking themselves. Such messages have the potential to go far, potentially unlocking doors to perspectives never realized, promoting self-love and ultimately the love and acceptance of others. In short: by anyone’s measure (and that’s always relative!), I’m about as weird as a person can get, so if you’re going to accept me, you’d better darn well accept every other person on this earth. Free Bagpipe Lessons-Brian Kidd aka The Unipiper

Of all of Portland’s colorful characters, none are as easily recognized as The Unipiper, with his fire-breathing bagpipes, colorful costumes, and unicycle, reports of Unipiper sightings stretch back over a decade. The origin of The Unipiper is shrouded in mystery, but reportedly stems from an incident with local-resident Brian Kidd involving a bite from a radioactive unicycle incurred while playing the bagpipes, granting him the power to make people smile. Ever since, he has roamed the streets of Portland, protecting its citizens from all that is normal and standing up to those that would seek to silence the weird. Internet fame soon followed when eyewitness videos of The Unipiper went viral, winding up on such websites as CNN and the front page of Reddit. Youtube commenter kjun13 calls The Unipiper "the most internet-y thing on the internet." The Unipiper has earned his place as the city’s unofficial ambassador of weird, having represented Portland in a variety of foreign lands from Scotland to Japan. For three years running, The Unipiper has been crowned ‘Best Local Celebrity in Portland’ by the Willamette Week and with recent appearances on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’, ‘America’s Got Talent’, and ‘The Gong Show’, The Unipiper has solidified his position as a true Portland icon. When asked about the enduring appeal of The Unipiper, Kidd says, "don’t think too hard about it. If you don’t understand The Unipiper there’s a lot you probably won’t understand about Portland. Keeping Portland Weird isn’t a one-person job, but as they say, with great volume comes great responsibility.” To follow the Unipiper follow the links below Website: https://www.unipiper.com/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/theunipiper Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/theunipiper/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/theunipiper Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/theunipiper Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UnipiperThank you to our sponsor Christine Lassiter from Two Rivers Mortgage.
