Girlscamp

I’ve left the Mormon church but, damn it, I just can’t seem to leave the church alone. Whether you’re navigating leaving a high-demand religion too or simply find yourself fascinated by religion (and where it can go off the rails), pull up a camp chair. I share my post-Mormon perspective on the quirkiness of church culture and the compelling journey of faith deconstruction. I’ll be reading and reacting to crazy religion story submissions, doing long-form interviews and deep diving into church-related culture and current events. All with a lot of honesty, heart and humor- because that's what Girlscamp is all about.

Relevant and Relatable

Girlscamp is an extremely engaging listen. Host Hayley’s discussions regarding bodily autonomy and body image are frank, affirming, relatable and thought-provoking. The topics discussed are universally relevant, so, despite the title, you needn’t identify as female to get something out of Girlscamp. These are discussions we all should be having, regardless of sex or gender.
New Pod

I’ve been listening as a neverMo for sometime now and I have loved it. Every episode! As a resolution I’ve been wanting to find more faith outside of religion (grew up catholic) and this rebrand seems so timely. I’m excited to see where Hayley goes on this next chapter!♥️
I tried, I really did… for a year.

Listening to Hayley was hard before when she first started the pod. But I loved hearing stories & I loved that she had some of my favorite creators on the pod. (Madi, Jaci, etc.) The pod always felt weird though because she was acting like she did something so different… but girl… have you heard of Mormon Stories… they’ve already done it. This new direction she’s trying to take pod would be refreshing… but it’s weird that the fact that non-verbal autistics not being telepathic (I’m autistic) is the reason she wanted to change the pod. & then someone debunking the telepathy thing being compared to Joseph Smith… it’s just weird vibes. She uses the pod as therapy. She needs to figure herself out before she tries to run a podcast because it’s just flat & weird. You can feel her grasping for relevance.
