Giving Temwa Chawinga her flowers, plus the BOS Nation FC launch fiasco

On one of the most jam-packed Full Time podcasts ever, Tamerra Griffin and Meg Linehan unpack the team name launch of the Boston-based BOS Nation FC, the NWSL's 15th expansion club. Later on, it was time to give Temwa Chawinga her flowers. Tamerra spoke with the record-breaking woman of the moment and fellow KC Current teammate Mwanalima Jereko. Last week, Chawinga scored her 19th goal of the 2024 season, breaking Sam Kerr's record of 18 in a single NWSL season. The two African-born players talked about their chosen family sisterhood as teammates, their favorite foods that African fans bring for them after matches, the secrets behind their joyous goal celebrations, and what the real Chawinga is like off the pitch.
