    • Society & Culture

Margaret Jane Wynne, is one of the stewards of the Wynne Farm Ecological Reserve in Kenscoff haiti, a private conservation initiative serving the community. She combined her Sociology major from Anna Maria College in Paxton, Mass. with her father’s friendly environmental practices sharing the mission of protecting nature and its resources for the benefit of all. Jane has worked with women’s groups and has led different environmental projects with schools by the support of international institutions. By working with the community and travelling around the countryside as a tourist guide she gained a holistic perspective of the society. Her focus in life is finding an incentive to help farmers save the soil, rebuild it and plant food trees , firewood crops and bamboo in order to build resilience to the impact of climate change and to have a better livelihood. Her wish is that her immediate and enlarged family will pass on the legacy of protecting Wynne Farm that is just one piece of the puzzle of our Planet Earth.
